"Being able to go on shore made the whole trip much more exciting as we saw first-hand the many types of animals and birds which call the continent their home. The scenic beauty of the Antarctic waters is something that has to be seen in person – photos just do not do justice to the beauty of the glaciers and icebergs. This was one of the most interesting trips we have taken – made especially memorable by the onboard educational lectures presented by scientists and experts in the area in which we traveled. "My family and I have recently returned from the cruise to Antarctica and Chilean Fjords with Iguassu Falls pre-entension. Reporting for all us, we agreed that this was an absolutely fantastic experience! The routing, the variety of settings, the great ship with Captain Cavaghan who took us up narrow fjords to get closer to a spectacular glacier or to float amid the bergies when we couldn't land to the excellence and friendliness of the crew and staff, not to mention the shows, the lectures, the food, etc. Also my daughter expressed her gratitude to the doctor and nurses who worked overtime trying to help us cope with illness.
Appreciated the smoothly done land tours and the excellence of the selected hotels. For our first foray into that part of the world, it couldn't have been better. Thanks."

"This was our sixth cruise with Voyages of Discovery and our ninth altogether…We thought this was undoubtedly our best cruise to date. We particularly liked the "no tipping" policy. Despite this the cabin and dining room staff were the most attentive and pleasant we have had on any cruise. We also like the general informality, with the captain and other officers having meals with the passengers…….We will certainly be cruising with you again in the near future."

We enjoyed the Baltic Cruise very much. The Classical Music part was excellent. Even the resident Cafe Concerto Strings did their part. We are booked on one more this year from Lisbon to Rio. We will miss being on Discovery this winter during our winter but we have gone everywhere the ship goes, some twice. We really like the ship and have friends among the crew. The crew are excellent. We are glad you were recognized as the ship given the Best Value, because we agree. We are looking forward to seeing the itinerary of the latest ship you have long-leased. I think the size of the ship is one of it's biggest attractions for us. We don't do a lot of the shore excursions as we enjoy just being on the ship, but the ones I did in the Baltic were excellent.
